WOW I must say all of your favs are awsome! Not sure if I actually have a favorite but I and keep my favs up on my blog if anyone has any time to check. :) I still shoot both dig and film.

I have to say this seems to be the most talented group on the web!

All of the photos on this thread have been images I can enjoy but two stand out to me right now.

Lushd: What on earrth did you do to make the images appear so "painted"? This is not a complaint by any means. I love how this image comes across on my screen. The composition and end effect of the image is so classically "still life". Beautifully executed.

GabrielMa: Excellent composition and that instantly recognizable
Kodachrome warmth and pallet of color.

My own favorite came late in the year. I have been working with a young lady who has been very generous with her time allowing me to photograph her at various Tucson locations. On our third outing I got what I think is my best shot of her to date. And the best shot of the year. Mamiya 645 w/ 150mm lens, Tri-X asa 400.

So far, This'n. Only been at it for a few weeks, and...

I'm still getting used to the "R", the lenses, and various film choices.

Nearly every non-snapshot photo I've taken in my life was taken in 2006. I picked up my dad's cameras and started trying (i.e., being "serious") in January.

My favorite rangefinder photo:

Leica M3, Summicron 50/2, Tri-X 400

The rangefinder photo everyone else seems to like best:

Leica M3, Summicron 50/2, Tri-X 400

My favorite non-rangefinder photo:

Rolleiflex 2.8F, 80mm Planar, Acros 100

Man, two things this thread reminds me of... (1) the year has flown by and (2) I haven't taken near enough photographs!! But I did have several "favorite shots" this year. Here's one...

Some great shots in this thread folks... Thanks!

Sisteron France, September 2006.
Most will say - too busy - chaotic - etc. All true, but I like it; it captures my memory of the location . Leica M7, CV 35/2.5 P-II, Superia 400.

I like it too, Gerold!

Utterly marvellous. I really like this one - it's a well executed take on a standard wedding trope and, even better, it uses the square well with the train slipping off into the lower left corner.

But then, anyone looking at my earlier post will know I'm a sucker for off center composition  :bang: :D This isn't really that way at first, but it does still flow from right to left across the image. Very very nice. Has it been printed in a wet darkroom?

Here's mine. It's of my favorite subject, my wife, and it was the second roll on my Jupiter 8. After this roll, I new I had won the FSU "lottery" and got a good lens.

Bessa R, Jupiter 8

My favorite Non-RF Shot is this one:

Olympus E-500, ZD 50mm/2.0, EX-25 Extender Tube

The marvelous ZD 50mm/2.0 lens is IMHO one of the best (digital) lenses Olympus ever made!

Such things a like to do with a DSLR!

So let's see them. And here's to a productive and enjoyable 2007!

Great idea Ray! This one is fun, and everybody seems to be at this party! Much more fun than talking about the M8 :)

However...

However...

...the camera was obviously in my friend's hands, this is MY picture.
And this is my favourite 2006 photo.

For those who doesn't speak Hungarian Lánycsók=girl's kiss...
