Maybe this one. I'm not sure. I like the eye contact and the defiance in his eyes.
But this recent one was very satisfying too. I have been trying to work more on my timing along with composition, and this one just fell into place.
Michael and Craig, your photos are awesome, BTW.

This is the one I like that gets viewer response.
This is the one I like best (besides the one I mentioned earlier!)
Ironically, it drives me crazy when people photograph the back of their subjects. I stay away from it, but there's no faces in either of these! :bang:

This is still one of my favorites. Shot in 1993 in Ieper, Belgium, during The Festival of Cats. A festival with it's roots in the Middle Ages.

I would say this is one of them. I have a few, but this reminds me the most of my most recent travels in France-- during which I had the time of my life.

Love this... great job.

Shot with a Konica Hexar AF on Kodak E100G, my dog Belle.
She always turns her head like that whenever I talk to her. This picture shows her exactly like she is: inquisitive, patient, calm and friendly.

I could post some of my favorite M8 photos, but since I just "converted" to analog, I thought I rather post one of my favorites from my Yashica Electro 35 GSN.
So the following it is. There are some personal reasons why I like the one posted here especially... one is of course, that this sweet young lady is my girlfriend
Another is that I really love the look of wood. Other aspects I like are the the nice bokeh, the interesting light and shadow play, and the perspective. I guess I had a good day!
The Yashica is incredible, if anyone wants to play around with a classic rangefinder that can be found for little money, I really recommend it! I have only gone through 5 rolls of film so far, but love it all the way.

Probably this one, at least in part because it's on Kodachrome.

I like this one I shot a couple of years ago with a Leica IIIa and 90mm Elmar. My friend in the picture passed away unexpectedly on Christmas eve that same year. This photo captured him doing what he liked best, living the good life.

The photo below was taken about 30 seconds after a terrorist bomb attack that I just so happened to find myself in. I like the photo because I still can't believe that I was able to shoot under those circumstances and concentrate on focusing, metering, composing and everything else that was going through my head at that moment. I like the effect of the slow shutter speeds (blur/movement) and the fact that this and some others led me to being signed by my agency (Gamma).....
(edit) it was taken with a Leica m6ttl and a 28mm elmarit (tri-x)...
(2nd edit)sorry but this is my first thread that I have posted and I didn't mean to put it in the 2008 street photography project category (sorry)
Cheers, Michael

I can't just have one! I love light and detail. My eye can scan these over and over and still find new things to look at.

my first 4x5 / large format photograph, it reminds why i should drag the monorail out and use it more. and that i am lucky to be a part of/have this little family
i don't use 'studio lighting' much, or at all anymore - but this one i really do like, mostly for sentimental reasons i suppose.
