Your favorite camera that you don't carry around anymore?

My beautiful Rolleiflex T-couldn't get used to the reversed left-right view...(and with 2 growing up kids I ended up with a lot of lost shots....)

So I sold it -and bought a Pentax 67II 🙂

My 8x10" Sinar Norma camera. When I already know exactly where I want to place the camera, I am always glad that I got it to where it needs to be. But most of the time it resides on a camera stand in my studio.

Rolleiflex 3.5. I love it, but if I want medium format, I tend to use my Mamiya Press and get 6X7 or 6X9 negatives. Otherwise I use one of my Nikon F's. I did do a film test with the Rollei the other day, and it felt good in my hands.

My Nikon F100. I absolutely love the camera but it's just too big and heavy to lug everywhere. I've switched to a Contax G1 and 45mm for now. The G1 and its small lenses is much easier to toss into a small bag and sling over my shoulder. I rather like the G1, not sure what all the fuss is about the viewfinder or the supposed poor focusing, but I do miss my F100 though.

My Pentax 6x7. Sold it fast after I purchased my first digital 6MP camera and discovered that I was able to get better prints from it, no doubt due to the limitations of my workflow for the 6x7.

I've mostly quit shooting 135-format color just because of the cost versus quality of processing, meaning that my Zorki IV, Retina IIIc and other favorite P&S cameras are sitting unused. Meanwhile, medium format gets used occasionally for color work, meaning my Bronica ETRS and Yashicamat LM do get some use.

Really, I'd rather just shoot 4x5 on the Speed Graphic for B/W work. It gets the most use.

Several in fact. I never use the MTL-3 or RT anymore since I switched to medium format. And I loved the Kiev-60 but not having a decent 55mm make me leave it at home. But it was the camera that took be back to film.

Contax G, I owned two G2s and sold them and missed them so much that when a good price on a G1 showed up I bought it. Film just got too complicated for me so I sold that one too. I wish I'd kept it just to feel it now and again.

My F2. 20/4, 24/2.8, and 50/1.8 AI(s) lenses. I lent it out to a friend six months ago, and I'm almost considering not asking for it back. The M4 and 35 summilux satiate my 35mm needs...

My Koni-Omega Rapid 100. What a beast that was. I owned one for about 6 months and had such a blast with it. I parted with it when I pointed it at an old granny in a Wan Chai street market and she held up her hands like I was about to assault her. Still miss that cocking mechanism that sounded almost like a shotgun.

Another camera I ditched was my Nikon F2A - the first camera I ever bought with my own money. I loved it but once I got to my third lens, it had to go. Became a shoulder ache to carry around for fun especially seeing as I had a Mamiya 6 by then
