Far and away, my favorite shot of 2010 was of my father-in-law, Soon Check Mark.
This was on the tour bus in Beijing, our first stop on the tour of China we took with my in-laws. He had a heart attack in Shanghai and passed away a few days after this picture was taken.

A friend let me use this lens recenty and I am amazed.

One of my favorites because It came out as I imagined. A great feeling when it happens.

This was my first roll with my summar lens. I fell in love with the lens over 2010.

The best camera is one that still works!
Probably this shot because it represents a style of photography I'm not comfortable with ... and after the police had sorted out the drama with the two street Aboriginals who were moved on for drinking in public, they questioned me! Totally out of my comfort zone but I have a certain amount of pride in this photo that generally can't be gained from my usual style. The hand poised over the gun makes it significant for me!

Thanks David ... it was also my first outing with my 50mm C Sonnar and because it was overcast and I was shooting 100 film I was able to use it wide open here. This lens just keeps impressing me!
All great photos in this thread!

There really are some very impressive photographs in this thread. It looks like many members had a productive 2010. I made a set of my own favorite images on flickr. You can view them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/uncle_scar/sets/72157625405988745/

Some really beautiful shots slantface, and they're making me think about saving up for an M9. Perhaps if I sold all of my gear I might have enough for...about half of one

Thanks pixelated...I was lucky enough to manage to scrounge up the funds for the M9. It was a very tough goal to achieve, but I made it. I'm no millionaire, more like a thousandaire...and in the mid 5 figure bracket. Anyway, I sold a bunch of gear, moved some money around, found some great deals locally and flipped the gear for a small profit. Eventually, it was mine. I know they are a stretch for a digital camera, but if you can afford one someday, I would highly recommend it. By then, though, perhaps there will be an $8,0000 dollar M10 that you could get! Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, and best of luck with your endeavor.
