Title explains it all. Post whatever you feel has been the absolute absolute best frame you have ever exposed. Feel free to explain why if necessary.

George - lovely to see Tara again. That is a great shot, and I really liked it as your avatar. Thanks!

Only one shot? That's impossible! I have t least 30 that would qualify as my "best" shot.
Anyhow, here's one I like a lot...

Great photo, Ned!
If I were to pick just one, I think it would have to be this one.
It was taken during one of those really hot afternoons during rush hour on the way home. I'm particularly pleased with it because a) I didn't have time to meter, so I guessed the exposure and nailed it; b) one of those get-in-get-out times where you had to be quick or else the moment would've been lost (add the fact my train was coming so I had to be even faster); c) he's got this dog-day expression we can all relate to sometimes. After I took it, I got one of those feelings when you know you got a great shot and can't stop thinking about it until you see it.
Photographed with my Hassy.

Like many, I find it hard to nail down a favourite shot. I'd say that this was perhaps my favourite shot of 2007 for a variety of reasons: where I was (this is the moat of Angkor Wat), that the scene unfolded before my eyes, and of course how it turned out.

great shot, Derrick! I can see why you're so proud of it.. especially given the situation you were shooting in

Maybe not my finest picture, or my finest moment, but I like knowing I was there.

The best camera is one that still works!
I have several fabulous Leica cameras and lenses at my disposal but my favourite shot of the year so far has been with a $200.00 point and shoot digital ... such is life!

I don't know about "finest moment", but this is one of those pictures that I think just came together. Waited for quite some time for a lone figure to walk into the light, which is pretty rare in such a popular tourist locale (St. Peter's in the Vatican). I recall her approaching my direction (while praying that no one else will step into the frame) so metered off the marble floor & raised the camera. Then she raised her arm to shade her eyes & I thought "... funny... blinded by the light in St. Peter's - how fitting...".... click.
Cheers.

I don't think it's my best photo, and it isn't my favorite, but it's the one that is the most viewed, most favorited, and most commented-upon of everything I have up on Flickr.
