Your Hometown

Home since 2006 - beautiful but surprisingly difficult to photograph in a way that goes beyond the cliches.

I had a double take here, thinking it was Oxford, which has been my home since 2005. I've not yet visited Cambridge, but am going for a wedding later this year. Your photographs make are making me look forward to seeing the place. Thanks for sharing!

I am actually doing a project on the unseen aspects of Oxford. (An Unseen Oxford - An Unseen Oxford is a documentary photography project based in and around the City of Oxford. It aims to look behind the scenes, and find people and activities which most residents and visitors wouldn’t notice or realise they were there.)

Here are some pictures from me:

Although I've lived in London for over 25 years my hometown is Bournemouth on the south coast of England, where I took these photographs on a Yashica-Mat in 1971.

Although I've lived in Chicago for eight years now, Pittsburgh will always be home for me.

Here's a couple of shots of the few that I can currently locate. I really need to get organized...
