What are your Top 5 favorite cameras ever? Anything goes, digital, roll film, sheet film, instant, etc.

1) Leica M6
2) Nikon F2
3) Fujifilm X100 series
4) Nikon Df
5) Fujifilm X-Pro2

Runner up: Leica X1 / M8 / M9

The Nikon F2 is not a camera I've used much (even though I've owned it a few times), but I love it each time I touch it. Luckily, someone gave me one recently.

1) Rollei SL66
2) Deardorff
3) Sinar Norma
4) Nikon F2
5) Leica M (film) no specific M

Others
Hasselblad 501cm
XPan
Fuji G617
Linhof Master Technica and Technikardan
Nikon F
Rollei TLR's many models
Ebony view cameras

Leica M-series except M5 and possibly M8.

Linhof Technikardan 4x5 (I wish they'd made a 5x7 version)

Alpa 12-series

Nikon F

Nikon Df

(In no very coherent order)

Cheers,

R.

Leica Monochrom
Nikon F3P
Leica black paint MP with 0.85 VF'er
Leica Wetzlar M6 Ti
Rollie 3.5F "Whiteface"

Leicaflex SL2/SL for a viewfinder which laughs at every other viewfinder ever made
Pentax 67II for the results, the feel, and, yes, the "thwack"
Contax 645 for the results, the lenses, and the uniqueness
Sony RX1 for the results in spite of the experience
Leica iiib for the essence of the perfect 50 user experience

OMG, only 5, how cruel. Of cameras I have owned and used, and appreciated fully, I am forced to leave off Nikon F2, F6, D800E, Leica R8, M2, iiig, Contax RX, Contax ST, these which would have made a top 13 list, and a score of others, almost all of which were nice in some way.
Fujifilm S5 Pro--how did I forget thee? What superlative files!-within its limits of usable ISO. Has got to be in the top 5, but I can't bring myself to remove any of the others.

The list is subject to change, but here goes...

5: Toko 4x5 folding wood field camera

Perfect landscape and "staged" portrait camera. I love seeing the world upside down and backwards on the glass. My 8x10 is close, but it's not quite as easy to use, it's not nearly as portable, and not as versatile.

4: Sony RX100 (Mark 1)

My Go-To, the camera that's on my person literally everywhere I go. I never have to say I left my good camera at home. This pocket-sized wonder is simply sublime.

3: Pentax LX

Amazing autoexposure, especially in low light, versatile interchangeable finders, fully featured without any garbage.

2: Polaroid Land Camera 180

The fully manual large format instant rangefinder. What's not to like? Please, PLEASE tell CatLabs of JP to hurry up with sheetfilm for these.

1: Pentax 6x7

Versatility in use, beautiful, amazing fast lenses, and a large negative with tons of detail. It's the sweet spot between LF and 35mm in every way.
