Zach Arais x-pro1 review

I have an X-Pro1 (paid with my own money), I have read Zach review and I do believe he is honest. The fact that he goes at great length to put up the disclaimer is already a good sense of honesty.

And I love the Q button as it is, and tend to dislike the placement of the AE-L/AF-L that I end up always missing.

so are they any of you all who require a minimum of 2.50+ diopter correction using this camera with no difficulty? Or, is there a workaround?

I'm using an eyepiece from Nikon FM2 on my Xpro1. The Nikon FM line had quite many different diopter correction eyepieces, they can be purchase on the bay for about 20$

Ha, I would love to see a firmware update that allowed me to switch the function(s) of those 2 buttons.

Different strokes . . .

I agree with his conclusion that the IQ is very good (but no better than any equally priced DSLR; in fact, ALL sensors are so near equivalent that PP is where all the action is) and the glass looks to be very good, but for an AF camera, the AF is just not very good. And manual focus is not a substitute by design. Maybe firmware can fix, or not. It's a serious drawback.

Well, in a better world (IMHO), those buttons wouldn't have specific markings @ all, just "1" or "2" or "A" or "B" or similar.

and then fuji would have to post to every user stenciled stickers to change the markings on each button?

I cant begin to imagine the collective internet whinge :D
"OMG how am I going to memorise 4 buttons?!?!"
people would start stealing their daughters barbie bedazzles and sticking them on the buttons etc
