Zeiss 21mm 'temperature'

Tom,
Many thanks for the input on my thread about a Zeiss 21mm. It was suggested the 21/2.8 is a cooler lens. What it your opinion on this and also the 21 4.5?
I ask as I shoot quite a bit of transparency, but do not scan them in. My 35/2 'cron ASPH, 50/2 'cron pre-asph and 90/2.8 Elmarit have a really nice feel (warmth without being too warm), would the Zeiss be much more noticeable?

Steve, I only shoot bl/w these days! Probably do 10-15 rolls of color/year and 5-600 rolls of bl/w - so my opinion on color with lenses is very limited.
From what I have sen by others, both the 21f2.8 and the 21f4.5 is a bit cooler than the Leica glass - but admittedly that can also depend on the film used (Ektar 100 mainly).
Check on Flickr for color images of both lenses though.
The Zeiss glass is a bit unique as they all render the same way - contrast etc - the exception being the 35f2.8 Biogon which has slightly elevated contrast compared to the rest.

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking through Flickr, my only concern is that people probably alter colour and temperature during Post-processing.
All the techical aspects look very pleasing. My best bet would be to get to a stockist and shoot some of my Ektachrome E100G then see if the results are what I'm happy with.
