Hello,
I have just ordered an M8.
I will be ordering a Zeiss 25.2.8 lens if it is compatible with the M8 rangefinder and give a suitable frameline.
Will the lens work well with the M8?
At the minute I have a CV 25/4 which is not rangefinder coupled, would I notice a lot of difference with the Zeiss lens?
Thanks,
Robert

Robert,

Out of the box the Zeiss lens brings up the 28/90 frameline pair. Zeiss will convert the lens by changing the mount for one that brings up the 24/35 frameline pair. I believe that they charge €60 plus VAT. My lens is back in Germany undergoing conversion right now.

I got back from Sicily a few weeks ago and did about 85% of my photos with a ZM 25 on my M8. I used the Frame Stick on the front of my M8 to bring up the correct frame line. I also have th Canon 25 and the VC 25. I think that the ZM is easy to use and very sharp. I will likely get the mount changed so that it will bring up the correct frame line as I am happy with the lens.
