zeiss 50/2 ZM - focusing

Hi everybody,
I think about buying this lens, but I like to focus with lever - don´t have to look on barrel to know the distance. Could the "lobe" how somebody called it on ZM 50/2 be used for focusing in similar way as lever on, e.g. summicron? And is it placed similarly?

Its probably more similar to Summicron 40/2, just smaller. I suppose with practice you could use it in a same manner.
