Zeiss Biogon 28/2.8 ZM against Leica Elmarit M 28/2.8 ASPH

If I can find some time, and figure out how, I will try and take a photo of my viewfinder with the v4 Elmarit attached. I don't know how to get photos off my phone and into the computer (my 21-year old son would roll his eyes about now). But, I have a few options with digital cameras....

Email? on the phone?

Just kidding. I don't have email set up on my phone for security purposes. I would have to submit to a special surveillance software if I did want that.

I did just try shooting through the VF with my m4/3 camera and it didn't work. I need to figure out why. Then I tried using the phone and it worked a little better, but still fiddly. I can't get quite the same view as I get when putting my eye to the camera. But, this is all tangential. I made a shot that slightly exaggerates the lens in the corner of the VF and I will find some way to get that here (RFF). Give me a moment...

OK, I shot the image on my phone screen. Quick n dirty, but seems adequate.

Because it seems impossible to get my phone lens close enough to the viewfinder, I couldn't quite get the entire VF area, so this image is oriented slightly to show the lens in the corner. In practice, the lens intrudes a little less than this. This is an M2 viewfinder. Obviously, no hood here.

I shoot this combo occasionally and its so much better than the v3 Elmarit. I too just imagine the full extent of the VF as the 28 FOV. Close enough for what I'm using this lens for.
