I've gotten hold of a folding Zeiss-Ikon Contessa. Mostly it's in pretty good shape, but there's a slight dent in the bottom plate that seems to interfere with the frame counter. I'm pretty confident I could straighten the dent, but I can't figure out how to get the cover off.

Removing the four screws in the corners is straightforward, as is taking off the rewind knob by removing the screw in its center. Now the plate is loose and can be moved around freely, but I can't lift it off because the wind knob is still holding it in place.

I can't figure out how to get the wind knob off. It unscrews partway (reverse threaded) but then hangs up and won't unscrew any farther.

There are no signs of setscrews, C-clips, or other fasteners.

Anyone know how to remove it? Thanks...
