Hello

I recently aquired a lovely ZI camera.

I have tried my 28mm Rokkor [from CLE camera]
but it brings up the 35mm framelines on the ZI.

Has anybody had this experience on the Zeiss Ikon ?

Thanks

Yes, that is what happens.
I also have a ZI, and one of the best things about it is the 28 mm framelines. But it does bring up 35mm framelines for the 28mm Rokkor-M. I bought one too, and then sold it the next day because I got a bargain on a Zeiss 28mm f2.8 and because the Minolta was already breeding white spots.

I had the same problem with two 28mm Voigtlander lenses, but both of these were LTM screw threads, so I bought a 28mm CV adapter and that fixed it. There is no fix for the problem with the Rokkor lens, you just have to move the frameline switch

I have a 28mm Rokkor as well. By design they bring up the 35mm frameline on a standard M camera such as the ZI. Mine has been modified to bring up the 28mm frameline. I bought it that way used, so sorry I can't provide more detail on what exactly needs to be done. Try searching the forums here or perhaps ask Brian Sweeney or others who know more. In the mean time, you can hold the lever on the front of the camera with your left hand to see the 28mm frameline.

Cheers,
Rob

I know how to modify the lens mount to bring up the 35 lines instead of the 50, but im bot sure how to do the same on a l ens to bring up the 28 lines. I assumed that would require adding material instead of removing it.
