Wow. Those are excellent prices. There seem to be more Hexanons available in Europe than over here. The 50 on eBay is currently around $250 with 3 days left.

I've been a little slow to respond here, but also wanted to thank Peter for the info! It's so nice to have an abbreviated, single source to compare lenses. Very helpful information!
So a "tabbed" Summicron is just referring to the 'crons from 80-95(?) that had focus ring tabs? I saw a site once that referenced the expected market price for certain lenses, etc but I can't seem to find it now (when I need it of course). Any ideas?

Chris, the summicron is an exceptional lens and can be had (used) for about the same price as the Zeiss new. If you really want a cron, they are quite abundant on photo.net's leica forum. I see about one for sale every week or two. I see some here as well. good luck

I have a couple of these and wholely concur. - The Jupiter 8 is so well put - "At f/2 - f/4, it has a "retro" 1930s look that is very pleasing for people. It doesn't quite resolve individual hairs in a head-and shoulders portrait, but it doesn't do so in a beautiful way!" - What I notice also is the smooth gradation from the sharpness away from the center to the outer edges of the frame. It is best used on my Zorki 3.
For a Bessa it is hard to beat a well cared for Cron for all around value. It's pleasing character is more modern, but does so without being overly harsh.
