I have a Zeiss Ikon Contessa (non-folding) camera with Tessar 2.8/50 lens and Pronto shutter. After forwarding the film lever the shutter does not release. The delay handle below the lens is also stuck (I may have moved it in order to try to release the shutter). I took the film out but no difference. Any ideas?

It's going to need a cleaning. There is probably some junk in the teeth of the gears in the delay, and since it won't run, the shutter will not trip. Best that it be opened up, with the delay and speed escapement removed and cleaned properly.
Don't try any "drips" or "flooding" with lighter fluid, as you'll just wind up with a bigger problem, namely the lens elements coated with the remains of the dried lighter fluid and grease.

Sometimes it helps giving taps with a small metal object. The vibration caused by that sometimes makes the gears moving again.
I myself use a metal Parker pen which seems to produce just the right vibration.
However, guess that PF is right and the shutter should be cleaned.

Yes, it needs a service if you intend to use it.
