Don't need a 'repair,' per se; rather, on the way to vacation a few weeks ago I seem to have lost the stock diopter that fits over the eyepiece. So, now I have bare threads. Not really a big deal, but a bit uncomfortable. Zeiss has not responded to my emails. Is there anywhere in the US where I could purchase a replacement?
thx!

Try calling BHPhoto. I am almost certain they carry these.

Better fix it as you can get dust into rangefinder/viewfinder. Thread size is same as Nikon FM/FE FM2/FE2 so you can use those as well. Bessa III or Nikkormats are probably also the same thread size.

Super...thanks for the info. Never would've thought to try BH.

Art,
Not certain, but reading between the lines, I think the Nikon ones are the same as the Epson RD ones, which are the same as the Voigtlander ones.
If the equivalence thread is correct, Cameraquest has them.
I had a need for some replacements once and bought both kinds. The Cameraquest ones were soft -- i.e. protected my eyeglasses.
Good luck.

I bought a Nikon FM/FE replacement on eBay. Cost me about $15 or so. Fits fine.
On my original, the rubber tore away.

You were right - ordered one from BH. Adorama shows it as not in stock. FYI.

The Nikon ones are superior quality to the Bessa/ZI ones.

Btw does anyone knows if Nikon's and ZI's eyepieces use the same diopter values designation? I have read somewhere that when Nikon says it is "0" it is actually something else (-1 or +1 maybe, forgot).
