I never signed up, but I thought about this contest today and thought I'd see what was up with it...
Seems like it's up in the air, they've changed the dates, not posted any entries and left the participants in the dark. Some are claiming they never intended to give the prize away and it was a rush to get new members. Others say they're being paranoid and that the contest is going ahead as planned.
Either way I'm glad I didn't enter.

Chris has stated that whether or not uber is around will not influence the contest. The judges have set up a private ftp to look at the images and it will continue.
