Are there any ZI users that are ex Contaxg2 users? If so how do you compare the lenses and ease of use? I love my G2 but am intrigued by the new ZI....

hmmm...I guess you would have to consider if you wanted something more like a leica with a lack of AF...I have heard the viewfinder on this camera is better than a Leica (WOW)!
I am interested in the ZI as well but would have to find one used if I was going to do it...

I gots both: G2 with 28, 35, 45, and 90 lenses. ZI only with 35mm biogon zm.
I like both equally. Although the cameras can be used in similar fashions (esp. with AE), they really are different in use. The ZI gives you the visual feedback of manual focus with its amazing viewfinder. The G2, on the other hand, is super fast to use. I'm sure you've played with the burst mode on the thing, at four frames per second you can blow off a roll of 36 in just a few seconds. G2 has that mechanical, high quality electronic feel to it, while the ZI has more of a lightweight, nimbleness to it.
Lens wise, I couldn't tell you anything about it. I like them all

I agree. I have the G2 and ZI, The finder on the ZI's the best, by far of any RF I've used. The G2's speed and automation is amazing, and the lenses are top notch (and a current steal), I don't have a ZM lense yet, but from what I hear, I'll not be dissy with any of them. The G2 is a hefty, and I always felt I could use it as a weapon if needed, but the ZI's not a lightweight by any streach. If you have a G2, do you need a ZI? Probably not. But it's certainly nice to have both. I wouldn't dump my G2 for the ZM is all. You certainly won't regret the ZI as an addition. But you may miss the G2 if you didn't have it.

I have the ZI and have had the G1 and G2. I like them all but to me the best thing about the ZI is the viewfinder plus the fact that it is all just very basic. No frills. The G2 is excellent with the AF and a great flash too.
