Zeiss Ikon ZM Repair in US?

I recently discovered that the used ZM body I just bought for my wife is in need of repair.
After two rolls the camera is completely dead. The shutter will not trigger and the lightmeter is blank.
I tried three sets of batteries that I know work in my M6 and still nothing. I contacted the seller, who is a dealer overseas and he has offered to pay for the repair.
Can someone recommend a US repair shop for the ZM? I would like to find a local NYC shop to make things easier. Is there a ZM service center in the US?
Is there a DAG or Sherry or Youxin for the ZM? If it was a Leica, I would know what to do..
The other option is to send it back for a refund, however I would like to find out if it can be fixed before I do that.

Eugene, I am not trying to be silly, but this has happened to me too, have you checked the on/off button under the shutter release, and the polarity of the batteries?

No need to apologise for your suggestion.
I turned the camera off and on several times and checked the batteries.
I even downloaded the manual before I changed the batteries to make sure I didn't reverse them.

The same thing happened to me. I thought it was a bad battery. It was not.

What happened in my case is that the film had not engaged properly with the sprocket, so it was not advancing. When the film does not advance, none of the other functions work until that is corrected. I always check the film when I insert it & thought it was engaged, but I was wrong.

Hasslebald-USA in Parsippany, NJ is the official USA Service Center for Zeiss Ikon. If a repair is required, you might try them & send the bill overseas for reimbursement.
