According to many articles that i have read, the ZM single lens elements and barrels are made in Germany and sended in Tokyo for final assembling. The quality control and MTF chart of every lens are made by a machinery designed in Germany and sended in Tokyo, for final assembling.
All the Distagon 15/2.8 and Sonnar 85/2 are entirely made in Germany.
