Hi I have just received a Nettar 515 and put my first roll of 120 b/w through. I only got 8 exposures! and looking at the paper backing, the 16 exp numbers are on the bottom of the Pan F wheras the windows on the back of the camera are at the top...and two windows. I have no manual, can anyone enlighten me as to what I am missing or has numbering changed. The negs look great for an uncoated 194x camera. Thanks

I've not done this for decades, but here's what I remember. Your camera antedates the 16-on numbering, so it uses each 8-on number twice. Put 1 in window 1, then wind on to 1 in window 2. Likewise 2 in 1, 2 in 2, 3 in 1, 3 in 2, etc.

Cheers,

R.

Now why didn't I think of that!?

Thank you! I knew that there had to be a reason for the two windows - brilliant! no more blank film :)

First look at negs

First look at negs

The Pan F negs have dried and I have had a good look at them. The lens is a standard Novar but delivers good, sharp negs. The Nettar is small enough to slip into the pocket - much smaller than my Canon VT I usually cart about, so I think I might get to use this little number much more...love that camera!
