Crawley seems to be more a technician than a shooter. How do the resolution and contrast charts look, and what kind of numbers are there for light fall-off. My copy won't arrive until next week.

I bought the 50 and the 35 zeiss.
from an operational standpoint, they are smooth to operate and feel rock solid.
the 35 is kinda big, not too big but, i look at my 35 summaron 3.5 and it looks like a dwarf in comparison.
both lenses are very sharp, I like the look of the planar against my summicron(LTM) the only 35(leica) I have is the 35/3.5 LTM summaron, which holds up againt the zeiss they just look different, both great though.
the main thing about the zeiss I like is how smooth and solid the focus feels. I'm going to buy the 25/2.8 when i can afford to.

Thanks, the reviews compare the CV, Leica and Zeiss lenses. The 21mm and 50mm articles are published. Am currently working on 24/25s, 28s and 35s. Needless to say, I'm not the "shootout" type.
