I have duplication of 35mm SLR gear, with both Nikon and Leica outfits. Since I don't want to carry both outfits, and find the Nikon system more versatile, I'm thinking of simplifying by selling the Leica gear. That will leave me with some cash, and I'm curious about the Zeiss ZF lenses. Can anyone compare the ZF "look" to Leica and Nikon? The comparisons I'm mostly interested in are 25/2.8 ZF to 24/2.8 Elmarit; 25/2.8 ZF to 24/2.8 Nikkor AIS; 35/2 ZF to 35/2 Summicron; and 35/2 ZF to 35/2 Nikkor AIS. Also 85mm ZF to 85/1.8 Nikkor (I'm sure the Zeiss is better); and 85 ZF to 90mm Elmarit or Summicron (this will be a closer race, I'm sure).

I would continue to use my Nikkors in other focal lengths.

I like being able to use the Nikon or Zeiss glass on my D300 as well as my film bodies. And I like Nikon bodies (FE2, FA, F100) film bodies better than my Leica R5 and R6.

TIA!

Edit: Forget the 85mm. I didn't realize it is an f/1.4. I don't think I want that much weight and bulk. I'd like a good 85/90 or so for the Nikons, though. My 85/1.8 doesn't clean up until at least f/5.6. My zoom nikkors outperform it!
