Zeiss ZM Biogon 35mm lens hood

It seems somewhere I read that the same lens hood used for the Voigtlander CV 40/1.4 Classic (which is a bayonet) also will fit the Zeiss Biogon 35. Can anyone confirm this? I have the 40 now but look to replace it with the Biogon and would like to retain the hood if it will work.

Yes, it works fine for the Zeiss 35mm/2 and 50mm/2 ZM lenses: it fits and does not vignette at all.

I'm sure it'll fit. I don't have the ZM 35, but have the ZM 50 and the ZM 35/50 lens hood. I also have the CV 40 and it's lens hood. Having said that, though, I do think the ZM lens hood is nicer. It more "clicks" in place. The CV lens hood doesn't. At least mine doesn't. Understandable since the CV is less expensive.

Well, I got my ZM 35/2 from Tony Rose and tried my CV 40/1.4 hood on it. Works perfectly. Snaps into place and everything, just as the Zeiss would I am sure. Saved some money here!

Does this hood snap into place on your CV 40/1.4? Mine doesn't really snap into place, but just is loose. It fits onto the bayonet mount just fine, but when I turn it there's no snap or locking at the end of the turn. My ZM 35/50 hood does snap into place.....

You do have to push it that extra bit to snap it into place. It does fit tight on both the CV 40 and the Zeiss Biogon.
