Zeiss ZM Distagon T* 15 mm F2.8

Go here, they have a special on, at 3000 Euros. That's a bargain !!!!

This lens isn't RF coupled, which is a real shame since I understand that it is incredibly good fully open. It must have some fabulous bokeh. It would be so nice to be able to focus properly, fully open and get some strong perspective shots.

And, unfortunately, too expensive.

For the same money, I've recently bought 3 lenses, covering 15, 18 and 21mm, but not at f2.8. But the 15/2.8 was very very very tempting to buy. Maybe if I can find a used one, at say $2700. I wish.....

Here are a couple reviews:

It is really tempting considering 2.8...but I would never be able to buy it :(

for 15mm I am not sure the dof scale for f2.8 but above 4 as I know from my CV 15mm focusing is not a problem. Is there DOF scale of the lens in those reviews?

For those who actually use the lens, you will find that you can see the 1 and 2m mark (and their equivalent in feet as well) through the viewfinder. When lined up against the f/2.8 mark, you know exactly what will be in focus at f/2.8. Whilst it may be slightly larger than most RF lens, it's also a lot of fun.

Cheers,
