Hey everybody,
I'm considering to buy the Zeiss Ikon, or an Bessa R2a, or an R2m.
To me, it seems the Bessa R2m has an superior Metered Manual LED exposure readout (See the image below). But it has also an disadvantage: It has no on/off switch. Like the Leica M6 is also missing one. And that's why M6-users have sometimes pic's of the inside-bag.
The R2a has an on/off switch. But to me it seems, the exposure readout is much more simple.
But now i like to see an image of the Zeiss Ikon viewfinder + exposure readout. I've read that the shutterspeeds are at the left of finder. That's what i've read. But now i like to see it. Does anybody have an jpg-image. Or is anybody able to scan it from an manual?
Allready thanks for the answers.

The ZI manual is available as a pdf download on the Zeiss Ikon website. Several images of the viewfinder + exposure readout are available in the manual. Don't be discouraged by the small size of the pages that first appear. Go to the tool bar above for a control that allows you to enlarge the pages as big as you want so you can see quite small details. The manual is printed in half a dozen different languages. In the English section, the viewfinder + exposure readout image is on page 44. Here is the link:
www.zeissikon.com/files/manual_ZI_camera_body.pdf
You can acces the site at www.zeissikon.com and the downloads at www.zeissikon.com/downloads.htm.
Enjoy!

Thanks for your answer. Good information in that pdf!
Further, about the blinking led from the metered exposure value: How gentle is that blinking led? Does it gets your attention away from the composition?
Off course, this is also an very personal experience.

Once I check it, I don't even notice it when I'm composing.

the blinking is not distracting at all, no problem, but you might want to make sure your eye is well positioned because I noticed the leds are sort of in the corner of your vision and easy to loose track of if you wear glasses.
