My crit thread with my 25mm pix from last week has vanished... (not that I do a ton of those but... my first one... maybe I'm supposed to get a message...)
Ilford HP5. Purchased the lens here on RFF (and the cam from Cameraquest).

Looks very nice indeed. The lens indeed appears to deliver hgh quality optical performance.
Do you shoot with it on your M2 ? I'll be after some nice WA one to comliment my lens lineup, would probably consider either Biogon 28mm/2.8 ZM or 25mm/2.8 ZM. As far as I heard, 25mm Biogon is just stellar in optical performance, but my concern is the lack of 25mm farme lines in my 0.72 M6 (thuogh it has 28mm lines). I thought perhaps just using the entire VF area would be a reasonably good aproximation to 25mm coverage ? Any thoughts ?

Not the M2.
Got it later in the same month.
I'd love to be able to say I used my Zeiss Ikon (black). As kharma would have it, Mr. Cameraquest was out of stock of black Zikons
and so I brought a black Bessa R4A (Av exposure. I bracketed the band photo).
I'd like a ZI....

It certainly has a certain "something"

I'm impressed with its versatility on the Epson R-D1, IMO as a travel kit just this lens and the Nokton 40mm will do the trick most of the time...

Depends how you shoot. The 28mm framelines on the M6 are squashed in a bit. After all, the 0.72 M6 finder is optically similar to the M4 (and M2...) finders, which only go as wide as 35mm framelines. If you compare an M2/M4 and an M6, you can see a substantial difference between the 35mm frameline coverage. If you drew a 28mm frameline around the M4's 35mm frameline, there wouldn't be much room for manoeuvre.
Using the full viewfinder of a 0.58 Leica (or a 0.6, like the Hexar RF) seems to me to be about right. Haven't tested it yet. Like you, I'm thinking about the 25mm Biogon...!
Also the R4A. Looked through one tonight and might have to buy one...

I’d try the lens on her and see where the lines and all are. I find the 90mm frames on my M6 are full frame for my 105 Nikkor (inside edges). I have not tried the 25 on her yet, one of may experiments I want to do. My gut tells me that the full frame on her should work well as a frame for the 25, but only time will tell. Anyone with some time to experiment?

Plenty of time... if you lend me a 25...
But rereading this thread makes me recall that some people even use a 21mm on a 0.72 without a finder - they have to squint diagonally into opposite corners of the finder to get the picture, but experience with a w/a gets you to the point where you know what's going to be in the frame before you shoot.
One of my justifications for buying an M4 was that having a 100% viewfinder on my SLR meant I was becoming retentive about perfect framing, and I thought an RF would loosen me up a little...
