ZM 25mm close focus to 0.5m on a leica possible?

Some ZM lens can go down to 0.5m any adapter/ googles to use it with the Ms?
I do know the 90 elmar macro has an adapter.

I really don't think there is any adapter or goggles. The Leica M will focus to .7M (older ones don't go quite that close). There are some lenses that will focus closer than the rangefinder can track. I'm thinking of the 21mm Super-Angulon when I say that. You focus by measuring or guessing. If the ZM lens is marked for distances closer than .7M, then it might be another example of this.

It does focus down to minimum, but you lose RF coupling at 0.7m. So closer than that, you have to "guess". Many Voigtlander wide angles focuses closer than 0.7m as well.

Same as the old 21/3.4 SA that focused down to 0.4 m uncoupled to the rf, guesstimate or pull out a tape measure.

And rely on experience or guesswork for the framing too.

Great point Roger, but that would be more appropriate on film based bodies. Since this thread's on a digital posting, one would simply confirm framing and focus with the LCD screen.
