Coming home from work today I stopped at the local park to photograph some wildflowers with this lens mounted on a Leica SL2 with a close focus adapter. All taken hand held, wide open, in the space of just a few minutes. I didn't obsess over focusing, just trying for general shapes and patterns.

I was surprised at how nice the out of focus rendering is.

I have always been impressed by this lens. Incredibly sad I don't own one.

The LTM versions seem just a bit spendy these days...but they are beautiful. Both the lens itself and the images it can potentially provide. I find OOF performance to be a big factor that attracts me to certain lenses. Like the Nikkor RF 35/1.8 (LTM, but S-mount can be good too from what I've seen).

So many lenses I would love to have! They say money and lenses can't bring happiness......mmmmm, are we sure about that? 🤔

Yes, the S version is much less expensive, gives similar results and works very well with the Amadeo adapter on mirrorless cameras. Unfortunately that combo doesn't work on M rangefinders without modification because the housing of the large rear element interferes with the rangefinder cam.

My copy of the lens on a Nikon Z6 with Yeenon close-focus adapter.

The yellow flowers are in the genus Coreopsis, and I suspect your flowers are members of this genus, too
