Hi,
I've been through various recommended Hong Kong camera dealer websites and the Zeiss Hong Kong distributors list, but I've had hard luck finding ZM lenses in Hong Kong. I might be interested in the 18/4, 21/2.8 and 50/1.5 lenses if they are significantly cheaper than in Europe. Where should I look next? Is there any chance of finding "cheaper" ZM lenses in Hong Kong? I know for sure that in 2010, CV lenses were a lot cheaper at least.

Ok now I found this: http://arsenal-photo.hk/Lens_41
Their prices are higher than for example foto-mundus.de in Germany.. I wonder if there simply is no tax advantage buying Zeiss lenses from Hong Kong? Even for the ones that were made in Japan by Cosina?

I would stay clear of the Photo Arsenal. High prices, and auctions not described truthfully.
If anyone wants to check, go and find any of their M6 and you will find Millennium, Traveler, Special Edition descriptions for plain M6's there.

In 2010 I bought three different times three lenses from Arsenal Photo through the famous auction site and "Best Offer", all new with factory warranty; the C-Sonnar 50- $900, C-Biogon 35 -$680 and Biogon 25 -$900 ; delivered to the States. The lowest price I could find including B&H and Adorama then, excellent service with prompt delivery via $40 shipping cost UPS registered.
If you are located in Europe then to purchase from a EU company could be more convenient (VAT). You can also try shphoto-gmbh in the same auction site as they were selling Zeiss gear since years.
BTW, Zeiss RF lenses are in short supply since months, so keep an eye on the classifieds here too..

I am in Europe myself, but a friend is going to visit HK at the end of this month.. so I am trying to figure out, what will I instruct her to get for me...
Yes I tried Tin Cheung as well... Same prices as Europe. it really looks like there is no tax advantage buying ZM from Hong Kong at all.

Try to ask Tin Cheung about their 2nd hand stock if you're ok with it. Another good shop is Wing Shing but dunno if they carry ZM
