I hope I got the new batch with front focus fixed. I mis-focused on some of the pics though -- I hope it's not the front focus. These pictures are taken wide-open or very nearly so.

Beautiful! Well done.

Front focus or not, who cares?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I can't believe no one else has responded to this.

Very nice shots, face is in focus, background with dreamy bokeh :)
you are lucky man to have that lens! If you don't mind, this photo in B&W,
simple conversion + 20% contrast:

You can't "fix" focus shift. You just decide which apertures will be affected by it : you can only avoid it at one aperture at a time. Apparently this aperture has been moved from 2.8 to 1.5. Just an ajustment made by Zeiss for those who never ever stop down :p (should you want to do so, you can always decide to change it)

Nice pictures, by the way. Enjoy your lens ;) (or send it to me for free  )

What about the lens stopped down at /8 etc. Doest it focus well to infinity?
Yes, In my experience focus shift only happens on this lens at about 2.8 or less.

The shift happens at least up to f5.6 and (until then), corresponds to
half the DOF. Center shifts a little different than corners. Earlier lenses are
optimized to have min. center shift at f2.8, newer at f1.5.

You can compensate using the DOF scale.

Roland.
