RObert Budding said:"If all shots on the roll are shot in accordance with the zone system, a piece of film is a piece of film whether or not it has multiple images or not, and the zone sytem will be of benefit."
So, how do you vary development time when that single roll of film contains images that require differing development times?
You don't. But shooting with the knowledge of what kind of development you are going to give to the whole roll still allows you to meter and place your shades better because it takes any sort of guesswork out of it. You know exactly what texture will show up and how much.

navilluspm, this guy has a free plugin for Channel Mixer for elements, (there is also one for curves) but I'm not sure if it works on PSE 5 and maybe not 4.

I'd check it out, I have used it for over two years and it is fine. Of course, there is always Gimp 2.2.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I have Elements 4, and the website says that it will not work for this version. It really doesn't bother me too much not having a channel mixer. I started analog printing last week, and I really enjoyed it. THe prints looked much better than they do from my printer (which is really horrible for BW photos).
