Hello,
I really Love mine. It is not a smooth as my leica but its a ball to shoot with. The size is great and pocketable. (No strap lugs you know. ) If you have not owned one of these type cameras before it takes some time to learn your own system of loading. Once you learn that it is a breeze. I cut my leaders before I even put the film in the frigadare.
Good luck hope you win the auction. Then shoot it like a rental
I have two Zorki-1's, among several other Zorki models. By today's standards, they are rather primitive - as any screw-mount Leica would be. Both of mine have the collapsable lens, as I think that was standard with them. Coompared to my Leica M4-2, loading and use are a little old-fashioned, but remember, that type of camera is what Henri Cartier-Bresson lived with for many years.
I think its one of the best soviet cameras. My favorite for sure (kiev 4 being a close second place I think). Loading can be a pain and I remember 2 times that I lost a whole roll of film because I didnt load it properly, but its a great camera.
