Zorki 1d rangefinder window magnification question

I bought a Zorki 1d (together with millions of shredded film particles stuck in the cogs) from eBay. I quite like the small size of the camera.

The magnification of its rangefinder window is about 1.0x. Is this normal for Zorki 1? I had an impression of it being 1.5x, from some old posts I've read before but I might remember it wrong.

I was skeptical about separated RF/VF windows, but now I start to enjoy it. I can focus with both eyes open with its 1.0x mag. The VF view is small, but it's very easy to see the whole frame (I wear glasses).🙂

Hi,

I've the version before you and the RF is about x1 as you say. Perhaps you were thinking of a Leica model?

Hi David, thanks for the reply. You're right, I think I mixed it with Leica II/III.
