Zorki 4... Slow Speeds Not Working

The slow speeds on my Zorki 4 are not working anymore, from 1/15th to 1 second. The shutter is capping at a fast rate but the timing mechanism seems to be working as the sound from the mechanism is about right. Is there a simple fix like squirting lighter fluid somewhere or a screw adjust ? Or should I just bring it to Essex Camera Repair ?

There could be a few reasons why the slow speeds stopped working, ranging from simple CLA needed to a broken part. Squirting lighter-fluid on the mechanism isn't wise and there is unlikely to be any adjustment that will give a quick fix.

The problem with a Zorki 4 is that they are worth little and having it CLAd or repaired is going to cost far more than a replacement. The mechanism isn't that hard to remove and CLA properly, if you fancy having a go. There's a sticky on how to CLA a Zorki 4 in this sub-forum, you could follow the relevant sections.
