HI,
just developed a roll of FP4+ shot on my Zorki 4 and it shows a strange phenomenon. At the end of the film, there's no problem, but very gradually the film gets darker and darker, up to the film lead where it's almost as dark as the lead itself.
I've seen light leaks before and it was typically repeating spots on each frame, denser depending on how long the camera was exposed to bright external light, when sitting on that frame.
This looks more like someone pulled out the film from the canister and back in again very rapidly in broad daylight... But I'm quite sure that such thing didn't happen.
I also thought it could be something during development (because I didn't have trouble with the Zorki before), But I don't see which chemical process would set the film to become black; I'd rather expect underdeveloped area's on film that's e.g. badly spooled. And my chemicals must be OK, since the one end of the film is developed OK..
I'm a bit puzzled. I'll investigate the Zorki for light leaks and apply some of the sealing material left over from my recent Canonet repair. But still I'd like a more decent explaination before shooting a next roll (that is, without worrying about the result).
