Hi Guys this is my first post here.

I recently picked up a Zorki 4K; the shutter curtain is missing and one of the gears has several teeth seared, is there anywhere I could get it repaired at a reasonable rate?

You would probably be better off buying a good Zorki from someone like Fedka. That said, if you are good with tools you could do it yourself as there is lots of information available on the web for that. Good Luck, Joe.

If you want to have a go there's a sticky on how to pull it apart (most of what you need anyway). Your biggest problem would be to replace the curtain since you haven't got a pattern to work to and the positioning of one of the curtains (the one on the larger drum) is critical too. It would involve a LOT of trial and error! Which curtain is missing?

Which gears are sheared? Again, getting replacements would be tough.

Given what a tech's time costs, it will almost definitely be cheaper to buy another one.

Cheers for the advice guys.

The gear that sheared is the one connecting the film spool/winding lever to the the sprocketed cylinder/shutter release. Both curtains are gone.

you would need second body to take parts from it - but if that second body have working gears and curtains then there is no reason to take it apart. :)
in which country do you live?
if you are in europe - it wont be so hard to find a body for very low price..
