my autofocus is broken.
I figured AlexC, at least, would be interested in some shots from the lenses he sent me, as used on my Zorki 6. (The one that had the Industar 50 that does funny things to pictures) Then, I figured I may as well post them here, as they are in fact RF photos, and other people might be interested.
So, here they are, the first shots I've taken with a Jupiter 8 on my Zorki 6, on Agfapan APX 100, souped in 20 year old D-76 and Kodak Rapid Fixer.

And this is the sort of thing the I-50 does. (Rigid model.)

It's hard to really tell what funny things your I-50 does with these sorts of pictures but it's just possible that mine does the same now. My first thought was that the processing was bad but I have concluded that it is fungussed-up beyond redemption. My neglect, I'm afraid. The I-50 is a fine lens and I have had mine for forty years, but I stopped using it because my Leitz collapsible would fit in the same Zorki-6 case with a hood and filter in place.

do your job, then let go
Interesting I have a silver J8 that has some of the same characteristics.

hey, they're only Zorkis
I have an I.22 that occasionally has somewhat of a slightly hazy/glowy/softy/smudgy look to it, though not always. I've cleaned and inspected it [with my 50+ year old eyes], but I really don't mind the look that much and just kind of go with it.

And O.T. ~ but I gotta say, kmack, yours is one of my all-time favorite avatars! LOL! I guess the fact is, I've been that guy.

"20 year old D-76" yowza, how many times have you replenished this?

Ah, I should probably have been more specific to begin with.
The D-76 I have probably amounts to ten tins of it that make a gallon each, which I found in a closet in the basement.
I suppose it keeps forever in solid form, though, doesn't it?

Heh. If you want to get rid of one tin, let me know...I'm kinda out.

Ahh, I'm so cheap and so fond of this stuff that I'm not sure I could just unload it!
Close, though!

I have two brand new rolls of Tri-X and some still unexpired Pan-F. But the Pan-F is what I want the D76 for.

Understandable! I've never tried Tri-X before, but I've never heard bad things about it either.

Tri-X is great. Low grain, good tone. I love it.
