I bought a Zorki 6 a while ago. It all works well but the VF was a little hazy, giving annoying flare at times. I couldn't get the winder center undone and was fearful of stripping the gears on a good camera.
At the weekend I cut a thin strip of rubber, just wide enough to fit around the nut...took a big pair of pliers to it and held my breath! YAY, success!
With the top off I took the opportunity to re-lube the winder gears as well as cleaning the optics of the VF/RF. Wow, what a difference, the VF is transformed! It's now equal to that of my Zorki 5 (it should be, the VF/RF optics are identical!) and its lovely crystal-clear VF (also cleaned).
A nice camera has become even more a pleasure to use...I'm happy
Has anyone seen the CLA thread on the Zorki 6? I can't find it...
