i never had zorki 2c but i have zorki c and it works great. very quiet shutter. only thing i dont like is speed dial which is on top plate so it looks a bit ugly.

I use very much my Zorki-S. It is very quiet and really smooth. In fact, it is the most used FSU body I have, in spite of small and relatively dim viewfinder. I suggest you to try couple of bodies and then take one.

These two are essentially the same camera with the 2C having additional features - strap lugs and a self timer.

The 2S does have strap lugs, but they tend to pull out easily. This is a good, realiable camera much like a T-34 tank compared to a German Tiger. No finesse. It just performs.

I have Zorki-S from 1956 and must say I like its look and feel very much. With Industar-22 collapsed, it is so small and stylish!
Unfortunately, my Zorki likes to scratch film and also has curtains problem at 1/500 - black vertical spot at the left side.

I got a chance to pick up either for $20 each from a US seller. I'd like to have the strap lugs but the 2C he has has a dent in the top. I'll probably go with the C.

get both and use parts from one to improve the other. it's called "transplantation" I think
reagan
hey, they're only Zorkis
Sure, get both, do a body-swap and that would give you a C with ears minus the dent + more parts... all for 40 zoids. If there are lenses involved, that's not too shabby. Heck, w/o lenses, that ain't bad.Spyderman said:"...a transplantation"
(the above CVBLZ4 encouragement to spend YOUR money is given by a terminally GAS infested schmuck who owns neither of these two models... Instead of adding C and 2C to my pile of Zorkis, I went with two more Zorki.1s.
One, the other, or both - any way, you'll have fun. Enjoy!

I use a '57 Zorki C w/ original I-22 collapsible lens. Great little camera, smooth, sharp, and the viewfinder was quite bright after cleaning - brighter than my Zorki 4k! The Vulcanite is great too.
