Zorki Camera Repairs

I do some repair work... anything from argus to zorki (literally).... but i don't do enough of it to make a living at it, and with things like arguses and zorkis you can't really charge more than $40 or $50 with a clear conscience.

My first preference is to help people fix their own, saves them money and me time, and usually keeps the camera out of the landfill. But some folks really don't feel comfortable doing it themselves.....

If you're willing to sent it back to Mother Russia for awhile, I've heard Oleg at http://www.okvintagecamera.com is THE one to work on FSU cameras.

Oleg just replace the curtains on a FED 1 NKVD for me. He has previously replaced the curtains in a Zorki 1, Zorki 3 and a Leningrad. All the repairs were perfect. The only negative is the two-month wait from the time sent until it returns. But I think it's worth it--at least on the older and more rare models. I probably wouldn't send a late Zorki 4 with painted lettering and shutter speed dial -- not worth it.
