Hello, what are the fair price range on fed and zorki cameras? Cameras that are working fine in all aspects. One can left out the cosmetic aspect.
And INDUSTAR I-61 for 15 euros and a INDUSTAR I-22 for 25€.What do you think?Cheap, overprice or their normal price?
I'm asking this because in the auction site Portugal, their is a amount of russian rangefinders.

These are normal prices but do not guarantee that the industars are adjusted well. For that price you can get a terrific lens or a bummer as well. Feds and Zorki's at about the Euro 50-70 price range should perform and look excellent (a rare model upto Euro 150). Of course that doesn't mean that one of Euro 20 doesn't function well. If you send me an email, I can send you a detailled price list of feds and zorki's with ebay prices of the last months.

People get deals of course, but I would expect $100 for a nice basic Contax/Barnack-style body + lens to be more standard, some lessor models will go for half that. I paid ~$25 US for my mint I-22. You are still playing "Russian Roulette" though...

I see! Well the price range is between 35 € to 130€. The leica copies are the more expensive. Cameras, I do not know if will buy one, I like the Fed 5, but already have a kiev 4. The lens, for me, is better, since many people say wonders of the I-22.

Fed 5 is a good camera. Works for me anyway.
If it's in a good condition it's good to use. You pay small price and get a proper rangefinder and are not scared to use it like one. The industar lens is excelent as well, gives some usable results and definitely can surprise you sometimes.

Zorkii 4K (the only one I'd bother with) from a private buyer: $25-$200. Almost zero correlation between condition/quality and price...

Cheers,

I-26 lens

I-26 lens

I bought a Zarya camera with an I-26 lens made by the FED factory. The results were great. I had heard that I-26 lenses performed well..I think they were fashioned after the Tessar..the whole outfit cost me around $35 so I was happy. The lens certainly out-performs the Industar 22 which usually comes with a Zorki 1, although the I-50 seems to be better.

I bought last week a Zorki IE with the I22 which is supossed to be in excellent working order for 105$ shipment included. A bit pricy but you can also find them a lot more expensive. You can find them here in Barcelona in stores and unchecked for 120€. That´s just too much.

Zorki I and 3M and Fed I are usually more expensive than later models and a bit harder to find, specially the 3M which is one of the cooler-looking soviet cameras althought not so diferent from earlier models.

Anyway, you can find most Zorki, Fed and Kiev models, lens included, around 50$ in good shape on Ebay.

Thank you for the posts! The situation is, even if a camera is 50 €, for that's already a bit expensive. Many of my cameras were bought below that price. In terms of camera, I like the fed 5, but its 50€ (ehehheh) and buying another camera... :)confused:).
In the lens issue, I don't know if I should buy, since I already have 2 M49 lens, but another good one, another that gives different results of the other two should be consider (or instead of another 50 mm, going to 35 or 80, etc).
I started this topic because here in Portugal many times, the sellers of cameras (and other "antique stuff") overprice the items, just because is ancient. And of Russian rangefinders, I'm still an amateur on these situations.

And if anyone wants to see the cameras etc, I can put here the site; one also can find a bargain and buy it...:D

Well, there you go, you just talked yourself out of Fed 5 and let our comments go to waste :)

50 euries is a fair price. If you get it in a good condition (and there are PLENTY of Fed 5B in excelent condition out there) complete and all and knock the price down to eur 40 - well, you can consider it fair and squire. Even in ex-soviet countries, on flea markets in vilages you won't find Feds for less than 30.
I knew someone else on Flickr in Portugal who got Fed 3 and 5 and traded them both back and forth etc. I'm sure you can find a proper deal over there.
You just need to make up your mind if you need another rangefinder or if you need Fed or something else. If you do need one and 50 is your budget then it's worth consideration.

Well, I won't say that... :p

Needing one, possibly with a leica IIIc and a kiev 4, I do not think.Only in collection matter. So the lens is the thing that i have more inclination. But it's also good to know tthat their are honest or good sellers here in portugal!
