Zorki I question

Hi all,

I've just acquired a Zorki I in excellent condition (for its age). This is the first bottom loader I've ever owned and I was wondering if anyone has some words of wisdom regarding film loading?

Congratulations on the Zorki 1 - With regards to loading a bottom loader our own RFF has one of the best threads on the topic over in the Leica LTM forum.

Take care the first time you try to load the camera. It´s a bit tricky, but it works.

If possible get a cutting template to cut the film leader (its called ABLON by Leitz), and when cutting the film take extreme care to avoid cutting in the film holes. If done, this will lead to break the film and leave some tiny pieces of it inside the film chamber (thenthe risk of cutting the shutter curtains).

If you have a discarded roll of film, try to laod it (after cutting it to shape) to get used to it.
