My avatar shows a refurbished Zorki S, which has gone back to it's maker 'cos it 's less than perfect ... but it will return !

i have two others from moscowphoto, both ''leica - style olympic '' refurbs ... unusual new matt chrome + black toplates , and I love using them as much as my black and nickel Leica II's .

But the factory spec chrome one just does nothing for me - and others have not liked it either .

Any comments ?

Great to be here

Zorki 3 / 3S - Everyone's favourite ?

Zorki 3 / 3S - Everyone's favourite ?

Hi
Time and again, I am told that the Zorki 3 and 3m are the cream of Russian Lieca-style engineering - but to my dee'signer eye, they look like a lopsided Leica gone wrong !

Whereas my Zorki 6 actually looks like it was designed - and does the same job .

OK , I have a Leica IIIc , so I don't have to use my Zorkis I and S , but they are a deelight to me , but I bought a user , dinted , IIIc body for the cost of a Zorki 3/3m ...

Am I stirring it here ?!

Well I don't have a Zorki S but I don't think its particularly ugly and it's on my want list along with umpteen other FSU cameras 🙄 The Zorki 3 and 3M do look a bit lopsided I will admit , But thats part of there charm in my opinion .

LOL! Good one. Yeah, they're a little out of the norm. However, in my right hand the 3/3M feels more like the smaller Zork.1. Then when held to the eye, it has the advantage of the larger Zorki.4-sized VF. So maybe function over form? I guess they're just the loveable Ugly Bettys of Zorkidom.
