I've been looking for some macro lenses to put on my auto bellows. I've been thinking along the lines of the 20mm or 38mm but they are hard to find locally. In my search I've come across a 135mm f/4.5. Doesn't really provide the magnification I was looking for (I think 1:1 is the best I'll get with bellows) but it is going for a truckload less than the prices I've checked against online...and the added working distance would be a bonus for outdoors work. I'm not one to pass up unusual OM lenses for a decent price, hence my interest.

I'll be using it with the OM-1n and E-500/5 and bellows. Who else has used this lens? What is your opinion of it? The only other macro OM lens I currently own is the 50mm f/3.5.

I had one of these lenses which I used with my OM-1 & OM-40. But I used it mainly as a mild telephoto and long portrait lens, rather than for macro. I did do some macro with it, but only with the lens au natural and with a spacer. I never did get any bellows, so I don't know about that, but I was happy with the results I got.

If you're wanting to go to 1:1 - what about the Olympus Auto Macro 80mm/F4? Like the 135 - it also is uses either the bellows or the 65-116mm Auto Extension tube. Goes to 1:1 with the tubes and greater mag of course with the bellows. It was designed strictly as a macro lens. It could go to 2:1 with the very hard to find dedicated close-up lens. KEH has one of the older manual/preset versions of the lens which appears to have the same optical formula as the auto version
KeH also has a couple of 20/3.5 macro bellows lenses
