Has anyone else had problems using a Bessa R3a with the VC Nokton 50/1.5 wide open?
I imagined the camera would be fine with the lens, but I seem to miss focus sometimes evern when I'm careful and shooting a static subject. Perhaps it's due to the small rangefinder base as I have no such problem with the same lens on my Zeiss Ikon despite the smaller magnification factor.
Let me know your experiences, wondering if the fault is with me or my technique.
Tx,
Prav

Hi Prav,
could be the camera, lens or yourself.
Even with my M3s I miss fast 50 shots wide open and close up 1 out
of 3 times. To check your equipment, put the combo on a tripod
and take a photo or two of a meter scale. Then you will see if it's you.
Best technique for me is to prefocus and then move my body until
the patch coincides.
Best,
Roland.

No major problems from me. Just have to slow down a little as the DOF is quite small.
Good luck
