I know there are few people from Amsterdam here.
Could you give an advice where to go for used Leica?
Thanks in advance.

I spent several hours in Amsterdam in December, and was thrilled to encounter a small camera shop a short walk from the main downtown train station as we walked toward the Ann Frank house. Don't know the name or address, but they had a collection of used cameras that just about put me in a blissful dream state...my wife practically had to slap me. Good luck.

Must have been fotoprofessional. that's 5 minutes from the railway station.

I'm not sure why you'd want to buy a Leica in Amsterdam, or Holland. In Germany they're cheaper, and over the internet even cheaper from the USA.

I'm born and raised in Amsterdam and I've never found a cheap Leica here. :(

There is a large Leica dealer on Haarlemmerstraat...not to ar rom CS. Do not recall the name, but the other posters are correct...no deals in A'dam...very pricey...

That's Nivo Schweitzer.

I have got neither trips to Germany nor to the States.
If I buy via Internet shops that Leica will turn a "platinum" for me as I will have an import duty of 30 per cent and VAT of 18 over the total price after import duty calculated.
F.e. the USD 1200 cam will cost me 1770 and bunch of nerves spent while customs clearing. To say nothing of the time spent at customs' during 2 working days...

In this case for me it's better to pay 1770 but look at it before myself. The money is the same but instead of customs' horror I will have pleasure :)
And for sure I will not buy any better souvenir :)

Hi,

What are you looking for?
I might be able to help you out with other dealers in Holland who are not in Amsterdam.
If you like we can also meet for a beer if you like.

Sure, I would like to meet!:)

I'm looking for M6. I've seen one in the reference you gave me at photoprofessional and wrote them a letter to book it but have no answer.
I'm arriving on 11th of March at 11.00 and will have 11 & 12 to look around before the conference. I will stay at Radisson SAS in Rusland (isn't it funny? :))
Frankly, this is my 8th or 9th visit to the city as I used to work for big Dutch company in my previous life but at that time I was not an RF-man and never studied the opportunities.

I did it.
I took one at fotoprofessional :)
They made a discount as the guy remembers me from the last year visit. I didn't really know that shop name but bought a mamiya lens there a year ago.
Thanks to all for your advice !
