Slow learner,but keen!
My neat little Flexaret IV arrived today, and all is good, with the exception of one point connected with winding on after each exposure.
Working with a spare roll of out of date film as practice before putting in my first 'serious'roll, all is well except for the double exposure/wind on system.
Unlike the early R/Cords where you press a button in the middle of the wind-on knob to enable you to wind on the film, here there is no obvious way of releasing the wind on process to progress to the next frame.Gently depressing the shutter release button whilst winding on,seems to do the trick, but I can't locate a Manual and I am not sure that this is as the designer intended.
Is anyone out there with experience of this model able to advise,if so I would be very grateful for the help.
Thanks a lot,
Brian.

I emailed the Seller(Cupog),and outlined my uncertainty. His advice was that a positive application of the shutter lever(which is situated top right of the camera )is required to activate the wind-on process, and sure enough this solved the problem. My previous velvet touch was obviously not the done thing,
Two old films put through as a test then produced 100% success.
So now the 'Flex' has a roll of Superia 400 installed, and with luck our current beautiful UK weather will hang around for a few more days,to allow me to give it a run.

I look forward to seeing the shots, as the weather did hang around for a bit (apart from the days I wasn't working...).
I had a Flexaret (IIaish) for a while, absolutely beautiful, but it was in need of some serious TLC so I let it go.

I would like to see your results also, Brian. I have been considering a Flexaret to compliment my Yashica C. They look nice in Cupog's sales. Did you have a good experience with Cupog?

Hello Steve,
Sorry for the delay,I have just picked this up.I cannot speak too highly of my experiences with Cupog. As well as the Flexaret I have previously bought a Kiev 4 and a Fed 5b fron him,and all the items were as described and his communication is first class.
Good luck,
Brian.

Unfortunately the wind-on/shutter release process was not consistently working during my first roll

Unfortunately the wind-on/shutter release process was not consistently working during my first roll, and so the Flex 1V is in the mail to Cupog for some 'after sales'service.
Brian.
Decided to play safe and take a Flexaret 11 with Belar lens, and the simple 'red window' wind-on system as a replacement.Hope it works out ok.
Brian.
