Guy with a camera
Hi All,
After several years of lust and longing combined with a rash of recent classified sales and eBaying I am the proud owner of an M6.
After running through a roll I have to say all the hype and mystique are true. I love this thing. It was worth the wait. Without further ado a few selections from my first roll:
Shot on Kodak C41 B&W all with CV 35 PII
First Shot (It's my tradition to shoot my first photograph with any new camera of my lovely wife, for luck):
Tea at a local tea room for Father's day:
Your intrepid photographer (taken by my lovely wife):
Scans from photolab and some minor PP and resizing in Picasa.
I hope you enjoy and I'd like to thank everyone here who has given me advice and our hosts for having such a great place to learn about RFs anc such.
Take care,
Jim

Congratulations. A good beginning. Some might want a bit more contrast in the pictures.

Nice stuff. I especially like the interior shots. I actually like the lower contrast of Kodak 400CN for everyday.

On my monitor here at work, the contrast looks fine. Enjoy your camera!

Here's a pic of the 'Lux:

It came from eBay. It's not the cleanest sample but I got it yesterday and it looks pretty darn good to me. I'm planning on sending it to Sherry Krauter for a CLA. I dated it by serial number, it's a 1st generation made in 1959. I think for the price ($333.00) I got a decent deal.
The M6 came from a seller over at Fredmiranda.com, some good film deals can be had over there at times as it's a pretty digital crowd over there.
